Kimo Estate Farm Escape

To celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary we headed to the picturesque Kimo Estate, a rural working farm located in the stunning Gundagai region. We were greeted with luxury glamping in an off-the-grid eco hut perched atop the hilltop with panoramic views of the Murrumbidgee river flats, beautiful countryside and rolling hills where only the sound of the sheeps baa could be heard. The private wood-fired hot tub was steaming away on our arrival which we enjoyed from afternoon to sunset and whilst under the stars before we head inside to the wood fire heater that kept us warm at night. We stayed in the luxurious JR Hut that had everything we needed for our short getaway including breakfast that we cooked up in the morning. The perfect weekender escape.

Nearby are some lovely regional wineries, the town of Gundagai & the Dog On The Tuckerbox monument. A little further out also lies one of NSW best kept secrets – the north region of Kosciusko National Park. From the country town of Tumut to Talbingo, Yarrangobilly Caves and the Snowy Mountains Highway, keep an eye out for my upcoming blog as this is one region you are not going to want to miss.
