San Sebastian. Coastal city in the autonomous community; Basque Country.

After our tour around Spain, we jumped on busabout headed towards San Sebastian and I was in love! Beautiful clear waters to swim in and the most amazing food I have ever tasted – A great end to our trip through Spain.
Our days were spent bar hopping, tasting amazing Pintxos including the softest beef cheeks, crunchy pigs ears and foie gras (duck liver). Trust me, it tastes a whole lot better than it may sound! Pintxo, you may ask? It’s a cuisine and culture of the Basque country where you typically visit bars to either order Pintxo off a menu or select from the prepared meal on the bar tops – similar to Tapas. We were lucky to have arrived in Keler Pintxo Week with deals like 4 pintxos + 2 keler lager for €10. They also had free maps around town showing some of the best pintxo bars in San Seb! My top recommendations are Atari Gastroteka and La Cuchara – I was in foodie paradise! I’m not sure if the dates change each year but pintxo week ran from the 7 June – 16 June so hopefully you can experience it too!

We walked around the coastal route, visiting all the beaches San Seb had to offer like La Concha & Playa De Zurriola where Wade got to surf. We walked around mount Urgull and along the beach to mount Igueldo. We took a Funicular to the top to explore the fun fair but mainly for the spectacular views over San Sebastian.
